𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓: Personnel from Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Cajidiocan and CGSS Magdiwang 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞𝐝 11 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬 after their motorbanca capsized in the waters off Barangay España, San Fernando, Romblon, on 08 May 2025.

According to CGSS Cajidiocan and CGSS Magdiwang, while taking a break after providing security assistance during the Bancarera (motorboat race) in the area, they witnessed the motorbanca capsize approximately 15 meters from the shoreline. The team immediately launched a search and rescue operation and successfully rescued all 11 individuals on board. Among those rescued were six children and one senior citizen.
The rescued individuals stated that after watching the Bancarera, they departed Barangay España en route to Sitio Olango when the motorbanca lost stability and capsized.
As of press time, all rescued individuals have returned home and are in good physical condition.
