Mostly it's just using regular DnD spells but it was awesome to me to make it like that. It's both magical and mundane, the spell lasts as long as the candle, it has specific anchor in reality, the candle can be snuffed out, cut to pieces, burned in a bonfire, melted with others, it made the idea so open and malleable!
