Yep. They choose to be fed mountains of info on one field of study for years on end instead of getting early, hands-on life experience that forces them to adapt to a plethora of diverse situations. Not saying that it's particularly bad, but that it's too significant an amount of time to spend being educated on just one field all the while other courses they're taking hold little or no relevance. That's why I'm having my kids homeschooled for high school. The unit study-style curriculums are very fascinating; the complete opposite of these state-run bs indoctrination programs.
