Fiat currency itself is not a malicious system. It is a system that has an enormous weakness or flaw that allows bad actors to take control and extract wealth from any given society. Bad actors will always exist, in every group or collective. With a fiat system, once the bad actors take control the entire system, collective, or society experiences a shift or change in values towards those in control.
We now have technology in place capable of spreading, and for lack of a better term, infecting the population with ideas. These ideas are designed to sell products, goods, or services and since we exist in a fiat currency system controlled by bad actors they are propagating and enforcing the ideas which are of benefit to themselves which results in an entire shift of the collective market into a coerced and guided direction. To state in a different way, the market, which is really just a dynamic expression of the actions of the individuals within a collective, deviates from the natural course it would otherwise have taken. It is distorted, it is perverted. All with the intention of guiding and extracting wealth. The natural direction of the market is Truth. The coerced direction of the market is false. The market will inevitably require greater and greater intervention and regulation in order to remain on the coerced path. Like the flow of water to the path of least resistance the market is constantly attempting to self correct and discover Nature, to discover Truth.
The fiat currency system is what allowed for the birth of the data farming and targeted marketing system. It is the next step or progression of the fiat system. The exponential growth seen in technology has lended that same exponential curve to the development and progress of the free market into fallacy.
There is no more beautiful a scenario that of a free market made up of free humans. Working together choosing the greatest individual good and thus the greatest collective good allowing for the free, natural, and truthful expression of the human race as a collective.
The centralized internet we currently deal with has effectively ended a capitalistic or free market we assume to have. In the same way that currency is centrally controlled now too is the internet we each interact with.
Instead of being constrained by cost and demand conditions, the growth of an exploiting firm is constrained by public opinion: non-productive and non-contractual property acquisitions require coercion, and coercion creates victims. It is conceivable that resistance can be lastingly broken by force in the case of one man (or a group of men) exploiting one or maybe two or three others (or a group of roughly the same size). It is inconceivable, however, to imagine that force alone can account for the breaking down of resistance in the actually familiar case of small minorities expropriating and exploiting populations ten, hundreds, or thousands of times their size. For this to happen a firm must have public support in addition to coercive force. A majority of the population must accept its operations as legitimate. This acceptance can range from active enthusiasm to passive resignation. But acceptance it must be in the sense that a majority must have given up the idea of actively or passively resisting any attempt to enforce non-productive and non-contractual property acquisitions. Instead of displaying outrage over such actions, or showing contempt for everyone who engages in them, and or doing nothing to help make them successful (not to mention actively trying to obstruct them), a majority must actively or passively support them. State-supportive public opinion must counterbalance the resistance of victimized property owners such that active resistance appears futile. And the goal of the state, then, and of every state employee who wants to contribute toward securing and improving his own position within the state, is and must be that of maximizing exploitatively acquired wealth and income by producing favorable public opinion and creating legitimacy.

As Hoppe explains, once the state or any economic actor for that matter obtains the control of the market of money via the fiat system that actor or firm, as Hoppe refers to it, becomes free from the natural economic pressures that regulate the rest of the market. Such as operating at minimum effective cost and providing of service(s) that carry economic demand. That is to say that if any business is to remain in business, or to stay alive it must:
Satisfy an economic demand with a high standard of quality while keeping production costs as low as possible. The degree to which any business meets these criteria is the degree to which it is successful. Failure or incompetence to adapt to the changing pressures applied by those criteria in one business allows space for market competition and favors the business the can better satisfy economic pressures.
The state, in a fiat system, is free of these pressures. However the state faces a different problem or pressure. All funding for the state ultimately comes from the expropriation of private property from its citizens. If the citizens, as a collective, decide that they are no longer willing to allow such action from the state, then the state loses funding, or dies. Having control over money the states real currency is the approval of its citizens. This is the economic pressure the state deals with. This is the economic model that the state lives in.
Practice makes perfect. You will inevitably become better at activities that you frequently repeat. Even more so if your survival depends on those activities. Economic pressures drive innovation, when this occurs in a free market it typically leads to greater wealth, prosperity, division of labor, quality of goods.
Fiat is morally erosive and malice compounding.
When this happens within a mature fiat system which has become completely reliant on public approval of millions of citizens in order to maintain and expand upon its received funding and power we see an entirely different economic pressure in play. The United States government, simply by the fact that it exists, is the shining example of a mature fiat system. Meaning that it has endured and it has, in fact, excelled in meeting the demands of the economic pressure it faces.
To state this is a different way, if the the vast majority of people actively opposed the government and its spending there would be no more spending. Therefore the government has created, implemented and deployed various tactics throughout the decades in order to control public opinion.
The first thing I want to highlight here is that the only factor of consequence in play within this system is the public opinion and the control of it. Morality becomes irrelevant. The state is incentivised to coerce the greater population into believing any narrative which allows money to flow in the desired direction.
Anything and everything at the state’s disposal is considered a viable option. This includes the manufacturing of false “problems” followed by the proposition of predetermined solutions.
Secondly, advancements in technology have vastly improved the manner in which the population is connected and communicates. This has exposed the population to extremely subtle and effective tactics. These tactics are deployed onto the citizens of the United states and they are designed to make us think and behave in a way that is deemed beneficial to the state, by the state. Once again, morality is never considered.
In essence we have united millions of individuals, you could say that we have united the entire globe to a certain extent seeing as how the US dollar is the global reserve currency and we all participate in a global economy to an extent. However we have taken that level of unification of immense, immense power and productivity. The power and productive force of the entire human race. And we have centralized it. To a group of corrupt individuals. Who use it for their own benefit.
Freedom is the longest held dream of the modern human. A dream not yet realized. A dream cloaked. Its almost paradoxical. As early humans or hunter gatherers we were free from the tyranny and suppression of our fellow man yet we were slaves to nature and her laws. The evolution of mankind and his innovations freed us from the bonds of survival. Now we are bound in a different way. We are bound by ourselves, by our greed.
