Much of the gov case against the developers of Samourai Wallet is that they are responsible for the actions of their users and that the purpose of the code was to aid in illegal activity.
If the Supreme Court just ruled that a gun maker, an object intended to kill another person & obviously used in crime, is not responsible for gun sales in Mexico via not putting more controls on sales, then under no logical circumstance can the software developers be held for simple money laundering conspiracy charges when not one person was harmed by actions they did or did not take.
The recent gun case was a lawsuit by Mexico vs. USA gun makers and blaming them for the guns ending up in mexico.
