In a 2019 Kansas University study rammed earth infused with oxblood was 36% stronger than ordinary rammed earth. The use of blood as a biostabilizer is known across the world. It has even been used in drywall and plywood manufacturing as a substitute to harmful formaldehyde based stabilizers or glue. The effect of blood in rammed earth is more pronounced than using cement or lime as a stabilizer, and far cheaper (blood is today an industrial waste). Blood also strengthens the rammed earth (or wood, or gypsum, or plaster) more and more over time, as the blood feed's microorganisms naturally occurring in soil (hence the Great Wall of China etc.).
