Always a learning experience on the homestead!
Chicken butchering day always has its moments and this morning was one of those days. Storms prevented us from starting early, the electric scalder wasn’t working properly so I had to revert to propane but we managed and had a great time. The kids have learned what it takes to grow your own food and how precious life is.
