you know, the insane thing about the argument that mining Bitcoin is a service to the world is that mining Bitcoin faster was not exactly conducive to Bitcoin's sustainability as a currency.
how many resources have been used and discarded so some little jobless schmuck could make what amounts to like less than 100k. I get that that's a lot of money but in this world it isn't enough to call oneself rich, so what's the true value of mining if one considers this to be a business?
it's basic math – the expenditures of Bitcoin mining weight against any profit made, and hype isn't going to create profit in this economy, because the market has sobered up, THANK GOD.
almost six years ago, when I told everyone to sober the fuck up, some people listened and others did not. the ones who did not receive the message did absolutely nothing to prepare for the shift in focus from mining to the expansion of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
they balked. they called me a lunatic.
and then they realized that things were actually going in the direction of circular ecosystems over linear economies.
in other words, there is no growth without giving back.
the selfish mind could never comprehend what this looks like in application and in reality and that's why those people aren't being asked what the future of Bitcoin looks like.
the inertiatic mind is a diseased mind.
this is no longer about your average cypherpunk's dreams of old, but of a new dream born in the minds of dreamers who see beyond the status quo and its illusions.
when the gold rush is over, what will be done with the gold you hold in your hands?
