Y'know, after this whole thing about pennies no longer being minted, I'm even more grateful for cryptocurrency.
Imagine if a BIP came for Bitcoin's blockchain to no longer accept units in sats and instead only accepted µBTC and above, or if Monero only accepted higher units. It would be such a headache for people who have always accepted lower denominations.
You know what the news about pennies means for fiat *Mr. Krabs voice*: MOAR INFLATION!
On the flip side, copper is now free from the grasps of the State, so maybe we might see a new copper currency coming out soon, who knows.
