As of June 2025, Los Angeles is gripped by violence. Streets burn, vehicles are set ablaze, and mobs—many flying the flags of foreign nations—march defiantly through American neighborhoods. These are not peaceful demonstrators or legal immigrants seeking refuge. These are violent actors, many of whom have entered the country illegally, now using our streets as battlegrounds.
This is the inevitable consequence of an immigration system that has been ignored, broken, and politically weaponized.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has condemned the federal government’s decision to deploy 2,000 National Guard troops, calling it “purposefully inflammatory” and claiming local resources are sufficient. But the images from Los Angeles suggest otherwise. Law enforcement is being overwhelmed, and worse—there are reports of stand-down orders being issued even as chaos unfolds.

Journalist Bill Melugin relayed frustrations from LAPD officers on the ground: “Same old crap.” Officers are chasing violent agitators “all day for nothing,” clearly demoralized by directives that prevent them from doing their jobs. The California Highway Patrol, directed by Newsom, has clarified that they will not assist in federal immigration operations—nor were they informed of them. This distancing sends a clear message: California’s executive leadership is more concerned with posturing against federal authority than stopping destruction in their own streets.
Who’s Really in Charge?
When a state’s governor refuses to control lawlessness, the federal government has no choice but to step in. Yet even as cities burn, Newsom resists, painting federal aid as political provocation rather than a necessary intervention. His priority is not stopping mayhem—it’s scoring points against Washington.
This isn’t leadership. It’s weakness masquerading as moral superiority.
And it raises a deeply troubling question: Who’s orchestrating this chaos?
Could the cartels be behind it—exploiting political fractures to continue their operations in California unmolested? The U.S. southern border has long been a conduit not just for economic migrants but for organized criminal enterprises. If violent unrest allows cartels to entrench themselves further in U.S. territory, then Newsom’s refusal to act isn’t just a dereliction of duty. It’s complicity.
The Optics of Loyalty: Waving Foreign Flags While Burning U.S. Streets
