Washington also expressed its readiness to participate in efforts to resolve the crisis. The European diplomatic scene witnessed a similar movement, with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni separately discussing developments with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighting the need for a diplomatic solution. French President Macron also discussed the matter with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, while Italian Prime Minister Meloni sought to calm the situation with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. Regionally, diplomatic contacts were active, with Bahrain, Jordan, Cyprus, and Morocco emphasizing the need to stop the escalation and continue US-Iranian talks on the nuclear file. Baghdad, meanwhile, called on Tehran to continue dialogue with Washington over its nuclear program, following the Israeli attack on it. The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein had a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, during which he strongly condemned the Israeli military attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing Iraq's solidarity with Iran, government and people, in the face of this severe escalation.
