In the reign of Emperor Licinius, #Hermes, a Roman soldier, was a secret #Christian. When Licinius ordered sacrifices to idols, Hermes refused and declared his faith in #JesusChrist. He was tortured, but remained steadfast. Astonishingly, by God's grace, he healed the Emperor's son from a grave illness, leading many to believe. Yet, Licinius, ungrateful and hardened, persisted in his idolatry and ultimately ordered Hermes' beheading.
