We bought a house today. We’ve owned before but have been renting for 2 years in order to stack more sats. We have young kids and our landlord has been awful (like the worst). We live in a small market with very few rental options and we’re committed to the location because of our kids school.
We managed to get in without selling any Bitcoin but we’re paying a significantly higher APR to keep the down payment low. It’s less house than we can afford and way less than my family deserves but I’ve asked them to hang on for a few more years. It will be a nice comfortable place for us and it’s close to friends and school so we’re excited even if it’s not what we’ve been dreaming of.
TLDR: my family is amazing and I am so unbelievably lucky to have their support.
