You don’t make Bitcoin more inclusive by diluting the narrative that made it powerful in the first place.
Sats aren’t confusing—they’re like cents to dollars, or euro cents to euros.
No one struggles with that.
But reframing sats as “Bitcoin” erases the psychological gravity of the 21 million cap.
It turns a precise, finite story into a blurry abstraction.
I’ve spent years helping people understand that only 21 million Bitcoin will ever exist.
That’s already hard for newcomers to grasp.
Now imagine telling them:
“Oh wait, actually… it’s 2.1 quadrillion.”
You’d destroy the mythos, dilute the message, and invite chaos into the clearest monetary meme ever created.
Sats are not the problem. Changing the ledger’s story is.
