it is really interesting to see how different parenting is for fathers.
yesterday taro had flipped over a stool. sometimes I let him do his thing but it was late in the day and I was worried that he'd be too uncoordinated around it.
I asked husband who was on the floor with taro "hey, can you flip that over for him?"
In my mind, I'm expecting dad to just flip it over. that's what I would have done.
Instead, dad went into teaching mode and helped taro flip it over himself. Get your hands under here and here, okay, get low and now stand up! It took a few tries but taro did it and was very satisfied with himself.
And then he flipped it back upside down, with glee.
