i couldn't stop reading it until i was finished. i will warn you, the later part about japan is a bit harrowing but he paces it very nicely.
i would have probably framed the mathematical modeling part of it a lot more concisely because i'm fairly deep into understanding big numbers and cryptography but the probabilities of having enough nuclear collisions to trigger enough thermal release and radiation to be anything more than boiling a lump of metal into toxic vapor is are infinitesimal. i mean, really, once you understand the scale of a nucleus to the electron shells.
