In Hong Kong, there is not much acceptance of Bitcoin, which can be seen on BTCmap. I suspect this is due to the large number of financial institutions here that block adoption 🤷♂️ (there are plenty of them). However, immigrants are taking matters into their own hands. They mainly use USDT to send money to their families in other countries; unfortunately, USDT still dominates over BTC (maybe they'll learn someday...). This isn't reflected on the BTCmap, but we easily found exchanges that treat Bitcoin like a normal currency (in the immigrant district) 💁♂️.
So it can be confidently said that Bitcoin is already recognized and used for sending money (Mainly by immigrants).
