I read somewhere (last 24 hrs) that “sats” as part of the naming convention to Bitcoin was the result of a community naturally wanting to call it as such. Makes sense to me.
However, think about how close that group of people are to the initial source of its founders and developers. Think about its initial culture and the group of behaviors and the decisions made so far that have led to where Bitcoin is today.
If we’re waiting or anticipating the next wave of adopters outside of the people closer to its source, institutions, etc, then things will naturally change, just as things have changed today.
Heard about the Papa John’s transactions on the news when I was in HS and Bitcoin just clicked. I didn’t need to be orange pilled because I’ve always believed in it. But it doesn’t work that way for millions of people who this currency is for. & they’re the hardest to onboard. The more Bitcoin develops, the farther we get from having “naturally occurring” events for people to discover this on their own. & the more we’ll dive into second hand sources to convince their personal narrative of what this currency should be.
