My little lamb, so quick to stray,
From icons' gaze, from chanted #Prayer,
I see the wolf in modern day,
And clutch you closer, filled with care.
The Good Shepherd, staff in hand,
He knows the thorns, the shadowed vale,
He seeks the lost in every land,
His love for us will never fail.
My cross I bear, a heavy weight,
To guide you towards the narrow gate,
That Pascha light, so pure, so great,
Where Christ awaits, to consecrate.
He gave His life, a sacrifice,
For wayward souls, in darkest night,
And I, your father, pay the price,
To lead you to eternal light.
