Trump started a conflict with Houthis because they started again to attack Israeli ships (and ships that supplied Israel i think) after Israel resumed attack on Gaza. Then Houthis started to attack usa ships also. Now Trump stops the conflict with Houthis in exchange of mot attacking usa ships.
