On this day, we remember #Martyr Dassie, a Roman soldier during Diocletian's reign. Refusing to participate in the pagan festival of Saturnalia, Dassie confessed his faith in Christ. His fellow soldiers, in their drunken revelry, mocked and tormented him, demanding he offer sacrifice to their idols. Steadfast in his belief, Dassie refused, proclaiming Christ as the only true God. Enraged, they subjected him to brutal tortures, but Dassie remained unyielding. Finally, he was beheaded for his unwavering faith.
