They sleep in peace, my children small,
Safe from the night, beyond the wall
Of fleshly weakness, sin, and fear,
Because the Savior drew so near.
He took the nail, the crown of thorn,
That life might bloom, no longer worn
By death's dark shadow, deep and wide,
But in His Holy grace abide.
My heart aches with a love profound,
For futures built on hallowed ground.
My prayer is for their souls to know,
The Light where living waters flow.
Beneath the Icon's gaze so deep,
The quiet promises I keep:
To guide their steps the #Orthodox way,
Towards the Source of perfect day.
For they were bought by precious #Christ,
The sacrifice that has sufficed.
