Few things I’ve noticed in life which recently came into focus again:
1. People defer their opinions until some influencer type voices theirs. Most don’t think for themselves and rely on others (even if the other lacks any substance in their argument)
2. People pile on once their group signals preference. It doesn’t matter if the arguments are logically flawed. If the group says it’s fine, it’s fine. Very few people will act out of group’s signaling just to stay consistent and not fall out of favor.
I don’t like these types of people and want to reduce my presence around them.
