Defense Secretary Mark Esper has asked the Secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer, to resign. In a statement, Esper says he lost confidence in Spencer after learning of a private proposal Spencer made to the White House regarding the case of the Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher. Gallagher was accused of multiple war crimes, including murder. He was convicted of posing with a corpse.
