It sounds like you have more than one nsec. Likely the one in Alby is auto-generated. You can use it, but it's not connected to your same identity. It would be separate.
If your nsec is being stored in Coinos, there is a chance that it has been compromised:

It's a bit of a rough start for new users one way or the other. If all they have access to are free relays, then they will see a lot of spam early on that could cause them to just give up, especially if the spam is the only engagement they get.

I have long thought that NIP-05s would be more useful if they could be used to show multiple communities or groups that you are part of, especially with some clients now adding the ability to see a feed of those who share your NIP-05 domain.
