I got my self into nfc world recently and i find it really interesting how there's complete lack of (relatively) cheap readers. Unless it's a phone there's no way for a browser to interact with a reader which elliminates most web apps on desktops (the case where merchant has a pc in the store).
to onboard a merchant to allow them to do offline payments (customer is offline) they'd need to buy something like a sunmi terminal. which is not cheap at all.
or you need to buy a phone/tablet with decent nfc reader to support things like bolt cards (NTAG424) which is usually even more costly.
would be really cool for lnpos to add a nfc module. I am considering to implement this even though I don't have much experience with arduino.

In reality Bitcoin won’t end wars. That’s obvs. The people that literally mean that are wrong.
What bitcoin will do is take away the printing press that funds the current war machine.
It will take real money/real savings to fund a war on a bitcoin standard. If you then run out, it will take real effort/risk to plunder or steal somebody else’s wealth.
The current system there is no constraint except inflation and that is exported to the rest of the world so the US doesn’t feel the pain of their decisions.
