You can't onboard normies to outbox. Nobody seems to want to see that.
Apps like Primal, for example, are already Community apps in a way (although they don't realize it or call it that).
With their own relay and blossom server that newbies can instantly post to.
With their community trending lists and their own :AirQuoteLeft: mint :AirQuoteRight: .
Doing these things beyond the community scale is detrimental for UX, engagement and spam prevention (which they don't notice that much yet because their clientele overlaps more or less with an actual community).

Normies don't need an OUTBOX at all.
For onboarding to the public side of Nostr they need:
:pointright: Communities they can publish in.
For onboarding to the private side of Nostr they need:
:pointright: Private group invite links
In both cases it's not them selecting / running / paying the relays, blossoms, mints.... but the owners of the group or community.
Normies would need an INBOX (although that's not even a requirement for the two use cases above). Just like they also would need a personal relay (and blossom) where they can store, backup and share their Nostr stuff privately.
This is where we need to offer all-in-one solutions that provide those things.
With spam prevention on that inbox (or ability to set a fee for publishing there, etc...).

this is why i am so yawn at LLMs also. this central feature of computing has been forgotten in the hype machine to the point where i'm probably one of at most several thousand people on the planet who have literally had experience building fast state machines.

the current arms race is about this and just to relate it back to what just happened in Tehran, Iran is a leading producer of drone technology. those persians are pretty good at math and computer programming, which is the magic sauce for drone war tech.

i used them a lot when i was 9 years old writing my attempt at a GUI engine lol
it's one of the most extraordinary nods to this in the syntax of Go. there is goto. and labels. i didn't even know there was goto for a long time, just break and continue. they were essential for various kinds of simple iterators but complex logic like state machines NEEDS goto. doing it without goto requires such cumbersome syntax and state variables that it was literally far less efficient to not retain it
