Iran wants a civilian nuclear program that can be turned into a weapons program if needed to deter Israel and the US from doing to them what they did to Libya under Gaddafi. They dismantled their nuclear program to appease Israel and the US and we know happened next. Iran is not trying to get sodomized to death.
Israel is doing as much if not more of the provoking despite what the fake news propaganda says.
Israel wants total control of the region, and American lives is a price they are willing to pay.

If I were to pay more attention, maybe even post a note of solidarity of Nostr, how would that help people in the middle east? What concrete, real world example can you give me of how that would improve the situation, and make people's lives better? It all seems like virtue signaling.
I'd rather spend that energy on people close to me, who I can help directly.

the bigger issue is with nip17 dms on iOS. you need a special entitlement to not show push notifications. apple has never approved this entitlement for us, even after literally years of back and forth.
We would need that for notepush to deliver nip17 dms. We need to check to see if we've muted the person after we unwrap it in the push notification process.
