The thing is, if you want to get involved in the direction, policy of philosophy of core development, GitHub is not the place for it. They use the mailing list and delving bitcoin, two centralized options for which they should develop a nostr alternative. GitHub is just for code.

Yeah that's gonna take a while. I am building nodes on the cheap with local college surplus Dell Optiplexes with i5 8th/9th gens and new WD Blue 7200 RPM HDD's. On Umbrel, it's looking like 5 days average.
I have a Raspiblitz running on a Pi and an external USB HDD, and it's at like day 15 and still a year behind.
