Gotcha! I hadn't heard of Share-on-Nostr before. I'll have to check that one out.
The only other extension I am aware of that is Nostr related and not a signer extension is Lantern, an extension for creating highlights.

Good idea but Unfortunately it is just a very old computer that cannot handle modern websites with lots of media, possibly I also have too many relays setup.
Shipyard takes a long time to load even without a feed and the image uploader doesn't work on that PC. Coracle was my fav client until recently as it has also stopped loading
There is no reason why an extension cannot post to nostr - 'Share-on-Nostr' does exactly this its just not designed for posting notes only sharing links so to use it this way requires work. Still 1000x quicker than most web clients
Nostrudel only took 3 mins to find this post for me to reply to - that's pretty fast by my standards. Thankyou!

That’s a fair concern — but education doesn’t have to come from the app itself. Many users learn about self-custody through the broader Bitcoin community, real-world needs, or simply over time as trust in the tool grows.
Minibits lowers the barrier to entry, and once users are in, curiosity and context often drive them to explore further — whether that’s self-custody, Lightning, or running a node.
No single app needs to do everything. What matters is that users have the freedom to choose, and the path remains open when they’re ready.

In retrospect, it was obvious the letter they signed was justification to merge a clearly controversial PR. It's not obvious what the second and third order effects will be, but I guarantee this will not play out the way that the signers of the letter think it will.
Happy to eat my words and say that I was wrong if a year from now if there isn't a significant growth (>100%) in large OP_RETURN outputs (>160 bytes).
I challenge any signer of the letter to provide a similar metric to measure whether what they're doing works and under what conditions they'd be willing to admit they were wrong.

bitRaffle lets anyone run a provably-fair raffle by anchoring a CSV of tickets in an OP_RETURN Bitcoin transaction and deriving the winners deterministically from the block hash with BIP-32 HD keys
🛠️ How It Works (TL;DR)
- Data integrity – the participant CSV is pinned on IPFS; the CID is stored in Bitcoin via OP_RETURN, so the list is immutable once the TX is mined.
- Randomness you can audit – the winning index is derived from the last 8 hex chars of each child public key (m/44'/0'/0'/0/i) using the confirmed block hash as the BIP-39 seed.
- Full transparency – anyone can recompute winners with the same block hash + CSV; the math is pure client-side JS, no server-side secrets.

Most people aren’t too lazy to use Lightning - they’re just fed a false narrative.
