I don’t have any interest in making any sort of contract with the state. A marriage contract requires the state to be the enforcer. Unless you’re talking about an unwritten contract between a man and his partner. That’s fine but not marriage in the traditional sense.
You’re right that it is not guaranteed to fail but the odds are a coin toss that your marriage will fail. And that doesn’t account for the number of marriages that are miserable but stay together for the kids or because divorce is expensive. I know a decent amount of people that have been separated for many years but still legally married. Even more that are trapped in a loveless marriage where cheating is likely happening or inevitably going to happen.

Um motorista de transporte complementar morreu, nesta segunda-feira (9), após uma batida frontal entre a Kombi que ele dirigia e um caminhão, em São Lourenço da Mata, no Grande Recife (veja vídeo acima). A vítima foi identificada como Luciano Lins de Siqueira, de 48 anos, que já foi candidato a vereador da cidade em 2020. Ele ficou preso às ferragens do veículo.

O acidente aconteceu na PE-05, no bairro de Tiúma, com uma Kombi que fazia a linha 001 - Tiúma/Bela Vista. Estavam na Kombi o motorista, o filho dele e uma idosa de 62 anos.
O Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) foi acionado pouco depois do meio-dia para a ocorrência.
Os dois passageiros ficaram feridos, mas, até a última atualização desta reportagem, o g1 não obteve informações sobre os estados de saúde deles. A mulher foi levada para a Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) dos Torrões, na Zona Oeste do Recife.
O motorista ficou preso na parte em que ficava o para-brisas da Kombi, que quebrou com o impacto. Imagens enviadas ao g1 mostram a vítima ensanguentada, com o braço esquerdo com vários ferimentos, assim como o rosto. A parte frontal do veículo ficou destruída.
A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) auxiliou no socorro e transferiu, de helicóptero, Luciano até o Hospital da Restauração, no Derby, Centro do Recife. Entretanto, ele não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu.
O corpo de Luciano foi levado para o Instituto de Medicina Legal (IML), no bairro de Santo Amaro, no Centro da capital.

Haven’t been posting much lately as we’ve been busy building and getting this boat sorted.
It’s been hard work long days lots of sanding grinding and fibreglassing. Most of the real shit works now done and we’re focusing on painting and putting this old girl back together.
One of the best and most rewarding things about living this lifestyle is the freedom it gives you. We have our own escape pod that’s at the ready every minute of every day. Ready to escape and to take us to any place we want to go. Obviously that’s linked to water and the oceans.
We use the sun to power us, the waters our highway and the winds our fuel and like Bitcoin brings abundance so does Mother Nature with the way she allows us to love through her medium.
You know these things are all linked together as they’re bound by proof of work and they incentivise low time preferences and longterm thinking.
Here’s some pics below of the old cabin top we just cut off and replaced with the new wider and more structurally sound cabin top we did.
