Primal appears to be leading the way in the Nostr client innovation. They've developed their own client and introduced a premium subscription model. This paid tier includes features such as a Lightning wallet, access to their relay, media uploads, and more.
I think this is a smart business move, especially as more people gradually migrate to Nostr. Most users aren't interested in managing their own relay or media hosting, which makes Primal's offering particularly valuable. I believe it has the potential to become quite popular.
The subscription model also provides a sustainable way for Primal to generate revenue and continue developing new features.
Since my primary phone doesn’t have Google services, I couldn't view the price initially. I installed the app on a different phone, and as shown in the screenshot, the subscription costs about $6.88 USD per month.
It seems that payment via Bitcoin Lightning is not currently supported, which is a bit surprising given the Nostr community’s affinity for Bitcoin.
I’d love to see other projects take a similar approach to foster healthy competition within the Nostr ecosystem.

Yes I do that. But I was describing the current bitcoin market in India. For me to buy, someone has to sell. And the sellers are very fearful these days. Nobody accepts online payments and we have to travel with cash and meet face-to-face with the sellers.
Buying/Selling is still going on, just that there are lot of hurdles along the way.

I want to talk about followers on NOSTR. It’s a big gripe with newbies used to legacy social media.
Here’s the reason you’ll never really know how many you have.
If I follow you, I update my profile on my relay(s) to store this information. If you don’t follow me and don’t check the same relays, you have no idea I’m following you, because I don’t notify you.
You will by proxy eventually find out as our paths cross and you start examining my profile on my relay.
That’s the technical answer, but the real answer is privacy. If I follow you, why should you know? We are so used to this information being exchanged that we don’t question it.
If I want to create a silent npub which does nothing, doesn’t ever post and sits on a private relay, you’ll never know I exist.
That’s privacy, which is a form of freedom.

The only mechanism to earn on LN is from routing fees, so yes, you are technically correct. All earnings from LN fall under that umbrella.
What I'm talking about is what the driving force is behind your capacity to route. And that is very obviously the countless CashApp channels c= receives every day, which causes the inbound to be increased and then used as a pressure mechanism to enable the routing. The APR might not come directly from Block, but the liquidity to make it all work is.
It's the same as me setting up a separate node that I constantly feed with liquidity and then say I made a huge APR on that node because it routed a bunch.
But you may choose to call it APR from routing, and that's fine. I personally think c= categorically works in such a different way compared to any other node that something like APR does not really have meaning anymore and it becomes inappropriate.

Gentry actually said that they explicitly noted the fees for their own users paid directly to them have been removed from the data because it skewed it.
I still haven't seen anything that they published and can't find the session, but hoping to dig in further and verify.
