Um homem foi preso preventivamente por estelionato na manhã desta quinta-feira (29), em Maringá, no norte do Paraná. Ele é suspeito de aplicar golpes em idosos oferecendo falsa ajuda em agências bancárias de Cianorte, no noroeste do estado.
As informações são da Polícia Civil (PC-PR), que cumpriu o mandado de prisão preventiva e de busca e apreensão contra o homem durante a Operação Falsa Ajuda. O nome do suspeito não foi divulgado.

Conforme o delegado Luis Fernando Alves Silva, de Cianorte, a investigação começou em fevereiro deste ano após um homem, de 83 anos, registrar um boletim de ocorrência dizendo que o cartão bancário havia sido furtado em uma agência. Ele ainda informou que foram sacados R$ 9 mil da conta dele.
Com imagens de câmeras de segurança do local, a polícia constatou que a vítima tinha sido abordada por um homem antes de ser furtada na agência.
"Através de imagens de câmeras de monitoramento nós conseguimos verificar de fato tinha plausibilidade na alegação da vítima. Um homem abordou essa vitima numa agencia bancaria sob uma falsa promessa de ajuda, e ela forneceu informações confidenciais, como senhas e tudo mais. Ele ainda subtraiu o cartão dela e, posteriormente, efetuou saques em outra agencia da cidade", explicou o delegado.
Ação do homem foi registrada por câmeras de segurança.

Em março deste ano, o delegado informou que o mesmo homem foi preso em flagrante em Maringá e foram encontrados com ele diversos cartões bancários. Entre os itens, estava o cartão da vítima de Cianorte, que também reconheceu o suspeito.
Segundo o delegado, há informações de que o homem também agiu em Astorga. Ele tinha diversas passagens por estelionato, furto qualificado e receptação.
O delegado explicou que o suspeito será investigado por estelionato majorado, devido ao crime ter sido praticado contra idosos. Por isso, a pena para o crime, que é de um a cinco anos de prisão, pode ser aumentada de um terço até o dobro.
Na prisão desta quinta-feira, o suspeito foi interrogado, mas optou por permanecer em silêncio.
O g1 tenta contato com a defesa do homem.

Como o homem agia
De acordo com o delegado, o homem abordava os idosos dentro de agências, enquanto eles realizavam operações bancárias. O suspeito induzia as vítimas ao erro, dizendo que as senhas delas estavam bloqueadas e que era necessário um recadastramento.
Em seguida, o homem pegava os cartões e fazia saques e transferências. O delegado ainda informou que o homem usava disfarces como boné, óculos e até peruca, para dificultar a identificação dele pelas câmeras de segurança.
Conforme o delegado, as investigações continuam para tentar identificar outras vítimas e outros possíveis envolvidos nos crimes.

It feels like Bitcoin has finally crossed the Rubicon into the mainstream both a triumph and a tragedy.
Walking around the conference this year, you could easily mistake it for a fintech summit or SaaS expo in Vegas. Same blazers, same VC pitch decks, same awkward networking energy. The suitcoiners outnumber the cypherpunks by 100:1.
On one hand, this is what we fought for: global legitimacy, serious capital, institutional attention.
On the other, something’s been lost in translation. The raw edge, the revolutionary energy, the sense that we were building something against the system not polishing it up to sell it back to the system.
Bitcoin doesn’t feel quite as dangerous anymore.
It feels… professional. Predictable. “Respectable,” even.
Maybe that’s just the mask Bitcoin wears while it continues hollowing out the old world from within.
Either way, the vibe has shifted.

Correct, it has to verify every transaction.
The moment it reads the OP_RETURN byte it sees the transaction as valid and the UTXO unspendable. It doesn’t read the arbitrary data afterwards because it doesn’t need to and can prune the output immediately.
Honestly, I think my node has to do more work verifying a stranger’s multisig spend than some op_return bible verse

NATO is a voluntary defensive military alliance, I don't even care if that's Russia reason for invading (which it isn't). A sovereign country like Ukraine has every right to request to join.
Ironically by invading Ukraine that makes Russia is *closer* geographically to NATO territory.
I'd be careful because how you speak is sounding very much like right wing pro-Russia talking points which, the right wing have very carefully rewritten the history of this conflict and expect standards of Ukraine they don't even apply to their own government while at the same time acting like Putin is a child with no responsibility.
