It's sad in today's digital music era these details are lost.
This is one of the reasons that the concept of value time splits are such a key feature in pidcasting 2.0. They are like a built in credit list where the payout is transparent and instantaneous.
A lot of music and podcasts don't use this to its capability. I've started to be very generous with the splits on most of my feeds. It's recognition of people who have and continue to help me.
And until you've tried it, or have been included in such a split, you really don't know how powerful they are.

Not only state is giving us barriers. Like for example there is nothing legal prohibiting you receive bank transfers, not even crypto payments. But you still can't easily get a credit card merchant account, which from the legal point of view is the same as any other form of receiving money.
The root cause is usually the state, but then there are bullshit barriers added by the legacy payment systems.

If you can do API calls to access this, you can do one more to mint a token. Also, minibits or cashu.me will mint you tokens in exchange for lightning invoice in a normie friendly way.
If you are a normie, you need a user interface that someone builds for you and shows you the invoice. Athenut does this in a nice way, you don't even see tokens, only the invoice.
But please don't be a normie. If you can use AI, you can use the library. Learn. Normies will have a very hard time in what's coming at them. The normie way leads to a Disneyland themed gulag. You should expect more of yourself and for yourself.

One of the trends for Cypherpunks will be local-first software. Local-first does not need a backend, or if it needs it, it's a dumb storage for encrypted data, often only just for synchronization/backup. Everything needed is stored locally.

Many people will launch useful vibe coded apps. It's a superpower that is accessible to all.
And some of them will want to have some kind of monetary function, a direct payment, value4value, etc.
Being a merchant in a legacy system is very difficult, you need to go through bureaucratic hell, start a company, get a merchant account with the big players.
Or you can tell your favorite model to import a nice library that handles payments, such as Cashu, which will allow you to integrate lightning payments without even needing to run a node.
This will enable a whole new economy of micro apps. Accessible to those who can pay a Bitcoin lightning payment.
This will be beneficial to both creators and the consumers of these apps. They will be mostly web apps, no app store bullshit, no companies, no banks, just a simple domain and hosting for a few bucks per month. Or a home computer and some sort of exposing it, for example thorough cloudflare tunnel.
Lowering barriers to creativity is what the world needs and what we observe with Bitcoin and LLMs.

I think this to a large degree. You should read that new book about spotify. It talks about this specifically. The people, they want playlists. And when spotify injects AI music into the pkaylists that kicks back money to them, listeners don't care.
The Playlist is the thing. I was blown away. Making it on one of these playlists is life changing for your music.
So yes, I really agree with you. We are trying to bring back an early 00s style of music based on the artist and song.
Honestly, I hate listening to music like this. I dont want a computer to listen to music.
So in that sense, if we are trying to catch the masses yes, we already failed. We should embrace AI music playlists and chase the fad.
Bandcamp honestly does this so much better. I can buy the physical album and also have the digital downloads. But I like supporting people trying to make authentic stuff in a DIY manner.

But send and get change is basically acountless what you have. A little trust in the provider (same as with account model) and get refunded for not used credits.

Pri vypĺňaní formulárov si uvedomujem ako je do nás imprintovaná poslušnosť a ako nám je ukazované naše miesto. Sme občania, s daňovými identifikačnými číslami, rodnými číslami, dátumami a miestami narodenia, výpismi z registrov trestov, trvalými pobytmi a celou históriou. Pri každom formulári sme nútení opísať menšiu či väčšiu časť svojej histórie ako daňového poplatníka, ukázať na primárne kľúče v rôznych štátnych databázach, aby bolo jasné, kde je naše miesto. Je to dominačná stratégia, ako stokrát napísať na tabuľu po škole, že kto je náš vládca. Zábava to môže byť pri sexuálnych hrách, ale toto je imprintovanie hierarchie na masovej škále. A ľuďom z toho seriózne prepína. Niektorí sú na to, že sú občania dokonca hrdí. Preukazy totožnosti, vodičské preukazy, pasy a iné kartičky, ktorými preukazujeme svoje miesto v hierarchii a ukazujeme, koho poslúchame sú užitočné na vynútenie poslušnosti (hlavne výberu daní), ale pre štát sú aj jasnou dominačnou stratégiou, vynucujú poslušnosť. Každému je zrazu jasné, aký ťažký by bol život bez kartičky a občanom musí byť jasné, že mu ju štát môže kedykoľvek zobrať.
Je to brutálne uvedomenie. Škoda, že sa u nás nevydávajú kartičky na ľahké drogy. Neviem ako z tohto zistenia teraz vycúvať. Už si to nemôžem nevšímať.

No, the users themselves are unknown to the service. No need to exchange between them, you can swap the tokens with the mint anytime.
You either deal with change, you get some strange credits or you have overhead.
But you can also stream cashu tokens without change, that also works. But a bit of unnecessary overhead for the mint.

Cashu is much faster. It can be minted by paying a lightning invoice. But we don't have to theorize, there's athenut for search and another project for cashu based ai based on openrouter. Both are open source, so you can just use the code today.
