Parente denuncia que vítima de atropelamento na Saara espera atendimento no corredor do Hospital Souza Aguiar

Os parentes de uma das vítimas de um atropelamento que aconteceu na Saara, área de comércio popular no Centro do Rio, reclamam da demora no atendimento do Hospital Souza Aguiar. A mulher de camelô atingido pelo automóvel afirma que ele está em uma cadeira. O acidente aconteceu na quarta-feira (21), quando um carro invadiu uma calçada da Rua Buenos Aires.

Segundo a família, Alex aguarda sentado em uma cadeira no corredor. A mulher do ambulante contou que ele trabalha como camelô no mesmo ponto há 10 anos vendendo meias, chinelos e pomadas para dores.
Luana da Graça Paulino, esposa de Alex, destaca que inicialmente afirmaram que ele precisava de cirurgia, mas a posição dos profissionais de saúde mudou e afirmaram que o procedimento não é mais necessário.
"Fui lá e perguntei sobre ele, se iria para algum leito. E me responderam simplesmente assim: ‘Ele chegou agora, querida. Ele vai ter que esperar’. Essa foi a resposta que me deram. Sim, ele estava [no corredor]. Depois ele foi para uma sala que é de observação e ele continua lá, sentado numa cadeira esperando", contou Luana.

O que diz a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde
A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde disse que não procede a informação de que Alex William está no corredor. A pasta afirmou que os dois pacientes foram atendidos na sala vermelha do Hospital Souza Aguiar e, depois de serem estabilizados, foram encaminhados para a sala verde, que possui macas e cadeiras.
De acordo com a secretaria, Libeao Su passou por exames pré-operatórios e deve passar por uma cirurgia na perna. No entanto, a data do procedimento não foi divulgada.
E o ambulante Alex William passou por exames de imagem que identificaram que não há necessidade de passar por uma cirurgia.
