Real estate never struck me as particularly appealing. The government can tax it, they can tell you what you can and can’t use it for, they can control the rent you charge, force you to let squatters live there rent free, and can even seize it under eminent domain laws. And you can’t transport it, spend it, nor can you own it anonymously. It’s a messy and time-consuming business. I’d rather be a renter and store my wealth in bitcoin instead.

I go back and forth on this because a bitcoinized world is truly the most fair, but since getting there quickly (eg < 10 years) is painful as heck, people who are working to extend USD use via crypto rails and bitcoin finance engineered yields are probably more humanitarian than I’d normally first think
