I agree that the personal experience has value but each person can have different experiences. For example, I have worked at jobs that were chill for someone doing the same job as me but for various reasons my experience was much different. Statistics can be gamed in various ways including but not limited to sample size, skewing results, and concealing conflicts of interest. That being said, each person must to the crucial work of seeking out the truth via asking the who, what, when, why and how questions and digging beneath the surface. Additionally, “trust the experts” is one of the most insidious logical fallacies, the appeal to authority.
