Changing the Bitcoin denomination to Sats is a terrible idea, IMO, but there's some merit to the benefits of a "stock split" argument.
Why not call 1/100,000 a Bit and then you can have your cake and eat it too. A Bit would be ~$1 and would be a denomination that people could more easily relate to.
BTC is too large and Sats are too small for familiarity / adoption for transactions. It's a bad idea to redefine either Bitcoin or Sats, but creating a new denomination closer to $1 could provide the benefit they're looking for without all of the problems associated with changing long-standing denominations.

If android, do you have google services?
I am trying to figure out why my degoogled android device wont let me have a custom lightning wallet name. I dont even see the option listed anywhere, but i do have a warning that says cant connect to messaging service. That i need to have google services installed. Yet they advertise misty breez is for degoogled devices too.
While the wallet technically works with their self signed apk. It would have been nice for them to let the users know that if you use the degoogled version of misty breez that you do not get a custom lightning address. Also that warning is a bit disconcerting.

Nostr projects have a nice opportunity to bootstrap via grants, while retaining full control and ownership.
But continuing to fund via grants over the long term does seem to be detremental for most projects. It kills any sense of urgency. The incentives are not there to build a useful product for users.
