มีความเชื่อหนึ่งที่กำลังถูกพูดถึง (และผู้มีประสบการณ์มองว่าแปลก) คือ "การขุด #Bitcoin นั้นขาดทุนอย่างมาก เพื่อทำลาย Seigniorage (กำไรของรัฐจากการพิมพ์เงิน)"... ผู้มีประสบการณ์ในวงการมองว่านี่เป็น "ข้ออ้างที่แปลกประหลาดและไม่ถูกต้อง" ค่ะ! 🙅♀️ illogical
ความจริงคือ การขุด Bitcoin ยังคง "มีกำไร" ค่ะ! เห็นได้จากการลงทุนและขนาดการขุดที่ใหญ่ขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ทั่วโลก! 💪📈
📌 ทำไมข้ออ้างว่าขุดแล้วขาดทุนจึงไม่ถูกต้อง? 👇
1️⃣ ระบบมีการ "ปรับความยาก" (Difficulty Adjustment)! ⚙️
ระบบจะปรับความยากในการขุดทุก 2,016 บล็อก (ประมาณ 2 สัปดาห์) หากมีคนขุดเยอะ Hash Rate รวมสูง ความยากก็เพิ่ม กำไรต่อเครื่องก็ลดลง... แต่ถ้าคนขุดน้อยลง ความยากก็ลดลง เพื่อรักษาเวลาในการหาบล็อกให้คงที่ประมาณ 10 นาที ทำให้ ผู้ขุดที่บริหารต้นทุนได้ดี ยังคงมีกำไรอยู่ได้ ค่ะ!
2️⃣ มี "ค่าธรรมเนียมธุรกรรม" (Transaction Fees) เป็นรายได้! 💸📄
นอกเหนือจาก Block Reward (รางวัลที่ได้จากการขุดบล็อกสำเร็จ ซึ่งจะลดลงทุกๆ 4 ปี หรือ Halving) นักขุดยังได้รับ "ค่าธรรมเนียมธุรกรรม" ที่รวมอยู่ในบล็อกด้วย ซึ่งสิ่งนี้จะมีความสำคัญมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในอนาคตค่ะ
3️⃣ "กำไร" ระยะยาว ขึ้นอยู่กับต้นทุนและขนาด! 🏭📊
ความสามารถในการทำกำไรระยะยาว ขึ้นอยู่กับ "ต้นทุน" (โดยเฉพาะค่าไฟฟ้า ซึ่งเป็นต้นทุนหลัก) ที่ต่ำกว่าคู่แข่ง และ "ขนาด" ของการขุดที่ใหญ่พอค่ะ!
4️⃣ ยิ่ง Block Reward ลดลง กำไรยิ่งเทไปหา "รายใหญ่"! 🐳📈
ในระยะยาว เมื่อ Block Reward ลดลง ความสามารถในการทำกำไรยิ่งย้ายไปอยู่กับ "นักขุดรายใหญ่ หรือ Mining Pools ใหญ่ๆ" ค่ะ เพราะพวกเขาสามารถลงทุนในเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูงเพื่อดึงรายได้จาก MEV (Miner Extractable Value - กำไรจากการเลือก/เรียงลำดับธุรกรรม) หรือแม้แต่ทำการ Reorg Attacks เพื่อชิงค่าธรรมเนียมได้ ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้ต้องใช้ขนาดและทรัพยากรสูงมาก นักขุดรายเล็กทำได้ยากค่ะ (คล้ายกับที่เห็นในวงการ Ethereum MEV ที่ต้องใช้เงินลงทุนสูงมาก)

Why couldn't he understand the everyday person? Honestly when I first started out on nostr I was confused what zaps and sats were. Thankfully my husband explained but it was not easy figuring this stuff out. And getting a wallet connected was awful. I'm still figuring things out.
I imagine if I had less time and help I would have given up! Terminology is important. Not everyone knows who Satoshi is. Or will have time to figure it out. Like there is no way I can explain to my mom that Satoshi is the anonymous person who made Bitcoin and has disappeared. I think that would freak her out and question Bitcoin as a whole.
I feel Jack is at least trying to suggest things that would make things more accessible. I can at least appreciate that. Not sure if changing sat to bitcoin is the way. But I think something similar to byte, megabyte, gigabyte would be helpful.
Also Jack has access to everyday peoples transactions and usage of Bitcoin via CashApp, Block, and Square. That is a lot of insight.
