Перші підказки про це з’явилися в оновленні Google Play Services версії 25.18. Там додали рядок коду про нову функцію, яка дозволяє “використовувати Cast на пристроях у режимі очікування”. Важливо, що ця функція призначена саме для телефонів. Це говорить про те, що Google хоче, щоб телефони працювали як розумні екрани, коли їх не використовують і вони заряджаються.
Зміни в технології заряджання також сприяють цьому. Нова бездротова зарядка Qi2 має магнітне кріплення, схоже на Apple MagSafe. Це дозволяє легко заряджати телефони в горизонтальному положенні, що важливо для такого розумного екрану.
У новій версії Android 16 планують повернути віджети на екрані блокування. Google підтвердила, що ці віджети є частиною режиму Hub, який зараз адаптують для телефонів. Тому коли телефон стоїть на зарядці, він зможе показувати годинник, фотографії та корисні віджети, як це робить iPhone в режимі Standby.
В коді Android 16 навіть знайшли нову кнопку “Standby” в меню живлення. Хоча офіційного оголошення ще не було, все вказує на те, що Android скоро отримає свій власний режим Standby. Завдяки новим стандартам заряджання та майбутнім оновленням, ваш телефон незабаром зможе працювати як розумний екран під час заряджання.
