PSV-selectie onthaald in Eindhoven, balkonscène bij Philips Stadion
De officiële huldiging van landskampioen PSV is maandagmiddag pas, maar de selectie en vele supporters van de club hebben zondagavond in Eindhoven alvast een voorschot genomen op de feestelijkheden. Bij het Philips Stadion werd de kampioensschaal rond 21.00 uur getoond aan enkele duizenden fans.
De supporters moesten dus wel even geduld hebben voordat hun ploeg was teruggekeerd uit Rotterdam, waar PSV de landstitel veiligstelde door met 1-3 te winnen bij Sparta Rotterdam. De fans hadden de wedstrijd, die om 14.30 uur begon, bekeken op grote schermen op pleinen in de stad.
In afwachting van de spelersbus werd het kort onrustig bij het Philips Stadion, waar enkele groepen mensen vuurwerk afstaken en voorwerpen gooiden naar de politie en ME.
Toen de PSV-spelers eenmaal waren gearriveerd, was de sfeer alweer gemoedelijker. Algemeen directeur Marcel Brands had de komst van de selectie aangekondigd met een megafoon vanuit een van de ramen in het Philips Stadion.
Zingend en fakkels afstekend begroetten de supporters de kersverse landskampioenen, die niet lang na Brands hun koppen door het raam staken. Dat tafereel, amper waar te nemen door de rook van de vele fakkels, duurde enkele minuten.
"Maak er allemaal een mooie avond van, we zien jullie morgen", riep aanvoerder Luuk de Jong door de megafoon voordat de selectie naar binnen verdween.

"You asked in the beginning how the FBI was weaponized," Patel told host Maria Bartiromo. "Well, the FBI hijacked the constitutional responsibility of the Department of Justice and the Attorney General, and James Comey and others specifically decided what cases to prosecute and not prosecute. Don't believe me? Go to the videotape in the Hillary Clinton investigation."
Cool, cool.
"We don't decide prosecutions, and neither does any agent or intel analyst. We have great partners under Attorney General [Pam] Bondi. We work with them and discuss the matter with them, but the prosecutorial decision is with them," Patel continued.
No rush on those indictments and pre-dawn raids, guys.
'Additional' Russiagate Details?
The pair also said they've uncovered additional details regarding the Obama DOJ's Crossfire Hurricane (Russiagate) investigation, and are working with Congress on it - which for some reason they have to do before they can release it.
Of note, Patel was previously the House Intelligence Committee's lead Russiagate investigator.
"They bastardized the process, they withheld and hid documentation and put it in rooms where people weren't supposed to look," he said.
"That's how vindictive and vicious the former leadership structure here was. Not only did they bastardize the FISA process and lie to the American public, they withheld and hid documentation and put it in rooms where people weren't supposed to look," Patel continued, adding "It's a good thing we're here now to clean it up, and you're about to see a wave of transparency… Just give us about a week or two."

As part of her general inspection tour today, my mother visited the garden.
Whilst it mostly consisted of bewilderment about the potting shed (Where will you put them all? How will you eat all of it?), I did score a win when I snapped off and handed her an asparagus spear.
She’s previously been horrified when I mentioned eating it raw, but after one dubious bite she said “You’re right, this doesn’t need to go near the kitchen. In fact, it would be wrong to cook it!”
Then I snipped off some miscellaneous brassica flowers for her to take home, which were later also pronounced to be lovely.
