Rodri se rompió los ligamentos en septiembre.
“He aprendido a ver desde otro prisma la vida del futbolista”, sostuvo en una entrevista con El País Semanal. “[Me tocó] Estar sólo en un vestuario, ver los partidos desde una grada, no estar en la dinámica del equipo y [pude] prestar atención a detalles a los que antes no les prestaba”, reconoció.
“Creo que ha sido una especie de test para sentir qué puede pasar el día en que me retire“, admitió Rodri. “Siempre he pensado: ¡buah, cuando me retire verás qué maravilla!…, sobre todo en esas temporadas largas y duras en las que acabas muy cansado y estresado. Pero resulta que cuando te viene de golpe algo así, parar no es fácil”, explicó.
Y confesó: “Soy un afortunado y eso lo sé, pero esta profesión tiene momentos duros y momentos muy jodidos. No todos los días me levanto y digo: ¡joder, qué guay, jugar al fútbol! Hay días en los que no te quieres levantar para ir a entrenar. Sobre todo cuando entras en esa dinámica de jugar, jugar y jugar… y además tienes que ganar, ganar y ganar”.
No obstante, reconoció que luego de estar casi una temporada entera sin fútbol, vuelve recargado: “Seguro que esta lesión y este parón van a alargar mi carrera deportiva, porque me van a dar un oxígeno que nunca pensé que iba a tener. Estoy convencido de que, por ejemplo, a nivel de oxigenación muscular, esto me va a dar mucho más fútbol”.
Cuándo volvería a jugar Rodri

Short sighted reasons to not do it. Those are obviously narratives that would happen short term, but there is no legitimacy to them.
I think its a good idea to do it.
