So I did my first 24 hour fast over the weekend. Not too bad. Got myself some fasting electrolytes to mix in my water and some MCT powder to add to my coffee when I break my fast.
Will be working my way up to a 3 day fast at some point soon. Takes a little will power. During my 24 hour fast I kept thinking about food lol.

Kampioensstress schiet van Ajax naar PSV: 'Ook bij ervaren spelers slaat het op de benen'
Kampioensstress. Het woord valt nog al eens dezer dagen. Ajax ging er aan ten onder, nu is het de beurt aan PSV om niet onder de druk van het aanstaande kampioenschap te bezwijken.
"Die mokerslag in de Arena, toen Noa Lang 3-2 maakte in De Kuip in de 99ste minuut... Dan zie je wat kampioenstress met je doet", weet Danny Koevermans, oud-speler van PSV. "Ook bij ervaren spelers slaat het op de benen."
Koevermans kan het weten. Hij is ervaringsdeskundige. De oud-aanvaller verspeelde in het seizoen 2006/2007 op de laatste speeldag, toen als speler van AZ, de titel aan PSV door een nederlaag tegen Excelsior. "Een trauma voor het leven."
Climax en anticlimax
"Het was een ongekende climax en anticlimax", zegt Boudewijn Zenden over hetgeen zich in de afgelopen twee speelronden van de eredivisie voltrok, waardoor ineens PSV een punt voor staat op Ajax met nog één speelronde te gaan.
Voormalig clubman Zenden, die af en toe nog iets doet als ambassadeur voor de businessclub van PSV, kan het nog steeds niet geloven. "Het gaat alle kanten op. In de winterstop had PSV tien punten meer dan Ajax, vervolgens sta je negen punten achter en nu heeft PSV de beste kaarten. Ongekend."
Koevermans is er niet gerust op. Hij bezag de euforie woensdag bij de PSV-ers na de 2-2 van Tijmen Blokzijl die Ajax twee punten kostte, met opgetrokken wenkbrauwen. "Ik dacht meteen: jongens, ondanks dat het gevoel nu verschrikkelijk positief is, jullie moeten er nog eentje..."
Om PSV te behoeden voor wat hij zelf meemaakte, komt Koevermans met een stokpaardje dat dezer dagen door velen in het voetbal wordt bereden: "Ze moeten doen wat ze altijd doen." Hij weet het, dat lijkt makkelijker gezegd dan gedaan. "Maar PSV zit in een goede fase, ze winnen weer makkelijk, die gaan er een paar leuke trainingen van maken. Meer kun je ook niet doen."
Ook Zenden waarschuwt PSV: "Je hoorde ze al juichen in Eindhoven, alleen is er nog wel een wedstrijd te spelen. De opdracht voor PSV is onveranderd: winnen. Het verschil is: ze hebben het nu in eigen hand, Maar als je ziet wat er dit seizoen allemaal is gebeurd, durf ik nog niet al mijn geld op PSV te zetten."
Geen formaliteit
Sparta uit, een formaliteit? Zenden: "Zeker niet. Sparta heeft, net als die vijf andere clubs die eromheen staan, nog alles om voor te spelen en is in de race voor de voorronde van de Europa League. Dat maakt het zo leuk. Voor de neutrale kijker is het fantastisch dat het op deze manier tot een einde komt."
Als Zenden alles rustig op een rijtje zet, gaat hij ervan uit dat PSV het niet meer weggeeft en "gewoon" wint op Het Kasteel. "Maar het blijft voetbal. Je weet het nooit."
