I was talking to the ledn guy at mit bitcoin expo and he made some good points about use cases. I smiled and nodded while in the back of my head all i could think of was my unsuspecting bitcoin noob friend who lost like 10 bitcoin to leveraged liquidation on ledn.

I watched No Fear, No Die (1990) yesterday. Directed by Claire Denis. A drama about illegal cockfighting in Paris. Not a big fan of that subject matter. It’s always interesting to see how degenerate gamblers think. Not as beautiful as Chocolat. Much grittier. 6/10 #nodereviews

OP_R only has a benefit above SegWit at <512 bytes or so. Otherwise they will keep polluting the UTXO set with stamps the same reason they did even while SegWit exists. And also the SegWit discount is appealing to people that don’t want to pollute
So it’s just a giant distraction not unlike politics

Feels a bit like monsoon season here with all the rain we’ve been getting this week. I got absolutely drenched while nostr:npub1cudap5kkjdvnv78v08m3748afshj0u3zh9h34svrf4nhn07gn4lscflujc was outside in search of the precise designated coordinates to make his deposit. He selected a grassy area near the pond with a view of two geese.
Last night we set up our kid’s science fair project, an experiment to see how tomato seeds grow in soil mixed with different organic materials. We have 60 starts growing with coffee grounds, egg shells, carrot peels, compost, and a control group. Hopefully we’ll have a bunch we can add to our little garden soon.
Now back to BUIDLing.

running knots will literally do nothing different. even if everyone was running knots, if you really wanted to get around tx censorship you would just use miner apis instead of knots p2p. They would be incentivized to do this if it earned them more fees.
Once his client has total control, he would be able to hardfork at will: make smaller blocks, censor all data transactions. You could argue this is a good thing if you were short sighted. In reality it would mean bitcoin is whatever luke thinks bitcoin should be. he would rule bitcoin with total control.
This is why we have a review process in core… who thinks luke ruling bitcoin is a good thing?

Yesterday the parts came in. Today everything went back together. Tomorrow I'll take it for a little shakedown ride to see how everything feels, then top off the fluids (needs measured hot), and done.
I think the only other update I missed was that I did end up buying the cheap hydraulic press from Harbor Freight. Worked perfectly.
