Em 2017, ela vazou um relatório confidencial que mostrava que a Rússia havia tentado hackear o sistema eleitoral americano.

Ela imprimiu o documento e o enviou anonimamente para o site The Intercept.
O que ela não sabia?
A impressora deixou rastros...
🔍 A armadilha invisível
Cada impressora colorida da NSA (e de muitas empresas) insere códigos quase invisíveis em cada página impressa.
São pontos amarelos minúsculos, que funcionam como um “RG da página”.
🕳️ Os metadados entregaram TUDO:
• Modelo da impressora
• Número de série
• Data e hora da impressão
A NSA cruzou com os logs internos…
E pronto: encontraram a culpada.
⛓️ A consequência
Reality Winner foi presa, julgada e condenada a mais de 5 anos de prisão por espionagem.
O maior caso desse tipo nos EUA até hoje.
📌 A lição:
Mesmo o papel tem metadados.
Mesmo o "anônimo" pode ser rastreado.
🕵️ Metadados contam uma história… e às vezes ela te entrega.

I’m always going to use a core implementation with the highest level of technical ability and knowledge of its systems. Right now that is the current core volunteers. core is a meritocracy not a democracy. There is simply no other group of people that outmatch the current set of maintainers. sipa alone knows more about bitcoin internals than most people on the planet.

Odell justifying the removal of the op return limit is as cringey as it gets. I remember when he was throwing shade at nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk when he forked core to establish knots. He attacked Luke claiming that Luke changed the op return limit to 42 but as we all know it was core who changed from 42 to 80.

Not trying to get into some long thread, but the thinking that it turns bitcoin into shitcoin makes sense because 97% of all nodes run Core. If you think that will change, then that's utopian thinking, and that thinking simply never plays out in real life. I'm sure Core's dominance will fall somewhat, but its not going away. If you want to destroy bitcoin, the obvious way to do it is... Exactly what's happening now.
