My phone isn’t a server, so I used to wonder — how is push notification even technically possible? After looking into it, I came to the same conclusion: in the end, our phones have always had to pull notifications from a big company like Google or Apple.
When I first encountered Nostr, I couldn’t understand why notifications didn’t work — but now it makes perfect sense.
But then I started thinking — if IPv6 becomes mainstream, could we finally have true push notifications in the literal sense? If every phone can essentially be a server, then yeah — I think it might be possible!
There would be some privacy issues, of course, but still.
And since we’re talking about Pokey, I’ve noticed that alerts often didn’t seem to work properly. I suspect there are two possible reasons:
1. Pokey doesn’t pull from the user’s own nip65-based read relays, but just fetches from some popular relays.
2. The socket connection between my phone and the read relays gets dropped when the phone goes idle.

The Titanic didn't sink as you think.
J.P. Morgan had a first-class ticket.
But he canceled at the last minute.
His three biggest financial rivals did board...
And never returned.
This is the truth about the "unsinkable" ship:
https://image.nostr.build/b78add548ffa036a4c44dda8b107a797b1bcf1d768000e0aa3ba70eb66799a8c.jpg
On April 14, 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg.
More than 1,500 people died.
A tragedy. A maritime disaster.
But some claim it wasn't an accident.
It was a planned sinking.
https://image.nostr.build/d9c3c54679451c8efd5b1ad9df64b2f0059b22b9e11bc33a50e52444853a19ef.jpg
The mastermind behind the plan?
J.P. Morgan, the most powerful banker on the planet.
According to this theory, Morgan orchestrated everything to gain financial advantage.
And the key lies in another ship: the Olympic, the Titanic's identical twin.
https://image.nostr.build/42e4dfd34218176d13bbc59077b1f14ff108a179e939129e91bfa6e95c6f6994.jpg https://image.nostr.build/6b543831deddf841869144c01d68e8795b5f8f9433aa0252097cde856b4c9ee8.jpg
A year earlier, the Olympic collided with a military vessel and was damaged.
So damaged that the insurance company refused to cover it.
What did White Star Line do then?
According to the theory: it changed the ships' names.
https://video.nostr.build/511db6e81b37ccdef7e198307dcac31bc8a4bae5fa8438f19d18502a4c8f00f6.mp4
The plan:
• They rename the Olympic Titanic
• They send it out to sea…
• They sink it “accidentally”
• And they collect the insurance
Does this sound crazy to you?
Read on...
https://video.nostr.build/a38a2a25ad36c66b601b97985ae1ce1e793cfcdcb83216305a2fba1218f0a274.mp4
J.P. Morgan was the true owner of White Star Line.
And at the time, he was working to create the Federal Reserve.
A financial system under his absolute control.
The problem?
Three men who opposed his plan were aboard the Titanic.
https://image.nostr.build/1cf0037fff2ed562138f8ad6572de8a87de0c0e7c6e166c4b8629d8dcb7c0265.jpg
1. Benjamin Guggenheim (mining magnate)
2. Isidor Straus (co-owner of Macy's)
3. John Jacob Astor IV (one of the richest men in the world)
All three opposed Morgan's plan.
None survived.
https://image.nostr.build/2f804bd421848d97e012c506bfac94d254083e2cd0ba437e5f00d0404b446724.jpg https://image.nostr.build/d39636a1da7941114f086bc45120d5efcf9c4a663853365366058f3f22bc4733.jpg https://image.nostr.build/8eda6d66499899d8e0396bda34a43cac780e9261da9626c286d3e96b5fa7c070.jpg
Morgan did have a ticket on the Titanic.
First class. Confirmed.
But he canceled his trip at the last minute.
Years later, in 1985, they found the wreckage of the Titanic.
And what they saw was disturbing:
https://image.nostr.build/20cdf228e9bfaa242d64c29b8c2b9ca0c9e5cb8bbce9c269801136518d3bbcf9.jpg
The hull's metal plates were bent... outward.
That suggests an internal explosion, not just an impact.
The cause?
Some say there was a fire in the coal bunkers before sailing.
https://image.nostr.build/62c34cbef8e289ddfd6b2386437cdbce58a4c9342bf3339a2874488b34cf1f95.jpg
If that's true, the Titanic was already doomed.
There was no thorough investigation.
No one was prosecuted. The case was quickly closed.
The following year, J.P. Morgan achieved its goal:
The Federal Reserve was created.
https://video.nostr.build/2fcbcd0e093825c05fd72680ad7f11e345b3a1965b534fca3e0ceed693179e5d.mp4
We can't say that the Titanic was sunk intentionally.
But these facts are documented:
1. Morgan controlled the shipping company.
2. He canceled his voyage at the last minute.
3. His rivals died.
4. There are many technical inconsistencies.
Coincidence...
Or the biggest financial fraud in history?
You decide.

Society needs to stop playing God.
Every time we try to “improve” nature, we destroy it.
Food, medicine, birth, money, health — all hijacked under the illusion of progress.
Here’s how intervention has wrecked what was already perfect:
1. We introduced vaccines instead of trusting the immune system God designed.
Your body was made to adapt, build memory, and protect you for life.
Instead, we injected it with lab-made formulas and called it protection.
Now we’ve got skyrocketing autoimmune disorders, neurological damage, and immune systems that can’t function on their own.
We didn’t protect anyone — we disrupted what was already working.
2. We turned birth into a medical emergency.
Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time — without IVs, pitocin, and cold white lights.
Now it’s surgery on a schedule. Trauma on a monitor.
Free birth honors the female body, her hormones, her timing, and her instincts.
We replaced empowerment with protocols — and wonder why outcomes keep getting worse.
3. We broke money by letting governments control it.
Money used to represent time, energy, and value.
Then they started printing it, taxing it, inflating it, and stealing from the people quietly.
Bitcoin brings it back to what it should be: incorruptible, fixed, free from manipulation.
You don’t need a central bank. You need a fair system.
4. We ruined milk trying to make it “safe.”
Milk the cow. Drink the milk. That’s it.
Instead, they heat it, bleach it, plastic-wrap it, and sell it as “healthier.”
Now it’s a gut-destroying, nutrient-deficient mess.
Raw milk is what we were meant to drink. Pasteurized milk is dead.
Stop fixing things that were never broken.
5. We replaced real food with lab experiments.
Our ancestors ate from the earth. We eat from factories.
They ate for nourishment. We eat for shelf life.
It’s not a diet problem — it’s a deception problem.
Get back to fruit, meat, raw dairy, and eggs.
Your body isn’t broken. Your food is.
6. We destroyed farming with chemicals and greed.
We had it right — animals on land, rotating crops, feeding the soil.
Then came pesticides, GMO seed, synthetic fertilizer, and monocrops.
Now our food is weaker, our soil is lifeless, and farmers are slaves to the system.
This isn’t sustainable. It’s sabotage.
Regenerative farming isn’t revolutionary — it’s just returning to sanity.
7. We replaced freedom with permission slips.
You were born free.
But now everything requires approval, ID, fees, forms, surveillance, and licenses.
Government doesn’t grant freedom. It takes it.
Every new regulation is another inch of your life they control.
Let people live. That’s the only real “progress.”
It’s time to stop pretending we know better than nature.
Stop sterilizing, fortifying, modifying, and managing everything into dysfunction.
The answers are simple. They’ve always been here.
We just stopped listening.
Get back in tune.
Eat real food.
Question fake authority.
Stop playing God.
We can do better.
And it starts by doing less.

Periodic reminder that your relays see absolutely EVERYTHING you do on Nostr. Regardless of which Client you use. They literally see the app downloading zaps, replies, and reactions when you scroll your posts in real time.
So... MAKE SURE TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE and that you TRUST THEM with that information.
Nostr is just like a browser. The server has to know what you want to see to send it to you, and that gives them the power to track you and see what you are asking for. There is no way around it.
I can't stress this enough.

Stop Comparing Nostr to X
X is flooded with bot farms, scammers, and fake profiles. If you magically removed them, you'd be left with maybe 30% real users—barely more than Nostr.
Nostr is growing slowly, and that’s exactly what makes it powerful: the growth is organic. It has massive engagement—arguably more than any social platform except maybe Facebook. And to be fair, Facebook got a lot right.
People hoping Nostr becomes “as big as X” are chasing fake metrics from a fake internet. Most real people don’t even use X or traditional social media anymore. Deep down, they know it’s all noise and a waste of time.
The truth is, most of the internet is fake. Regular people just use it for essentials and avoid the social media circus.
If we want everyday people to give social media a second chance through Nostr, we need to protect its integrity.
Bots and fake profiles are already creeping into Nostr. If that’s not stopped now, Nostr will turn into the same trash heap X has become.
And stop thinking like a socialist—wanting everything to be free on Nostr just so the average person can join.
Nostr is not for freeloaders.
Think like a capitalist. If something has real value, it shouldn’t be given away for free just to attract the masses.
Nostr is for builders, thinkers and those who value freedom.. and for those who invest, contribute, and build value.
Nostr is for us. The real people.

sometimes i had some ideas and i don't hace enough time to work on them or implement them.
i decided to explain one of them here and anyone who is interested can work on it.
as you know #khatru is a dynamic and flexible framework to develop nostr relays. and you have full control over new events, filters, connections and... using functions and interfaces.
for exmaple using the same functions and interfaces you can define an interface to database to write/read notes or blossom server to store/retrieve blobs.
in these cases, you have some database and blob storage protocols that are well known and common. so a library like eventstore or blobstore is out there:
https://github.com/kehiy/blobstore
https://github.com/fiatjaf/eventstore
on the other hand we have nip-86 management apis for relays which is very helpful and important. it's supported on khatru and customizeable in the same way.
which you can define and use it like how i did it in the #alienos :
https://github.com/dezh-tech/alienos/blob/main/management.go
https://github.com/dezh-tech/alienos/blob/03cad6536260f9d9f8c4e11d5f327a064aa5d5c6/main.go#L137
the #idea is to export this functionality and provide it as a package. so, khatru relays can support nip-86 without writing code from scratch.
more improvements: instead of using a management json file like me, you can use an event store interface and store your data in form of nostr events in relay database.

Bullbitcoin finally launched in #Mexico on April 10th and I've been playing around with their app nostr:nprofile1qqsr70lh4keezkwy9s92zm2ncpyrh7l6647ly257n6fkfgcxws0t9ncpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtczczjxh . It's KYC but they only ask for the absolute minimum necessary, and their founder, nostr:nprofile1qqs94rjcrut2qyhzf54xgq2j44tzqkxtqe0pmu5wjp7ph75zc9gv3wspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgjwaehxw309ac82unsd3jhqct89ejhxqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t05aupqu sounds like an awesome guy (his latest podcast on Saifedean's show is a great listen).
A cool feature is that I can use my #bitcoin to pay anyone who lives in the EU, Canada and Mexico in fiat by just typing in their bank account number, debit card number or phone number associated to their bank account. You just send your bitcoin to the app and bullbitcoin takes care of the rest.
I know there are other services out there that offer this but here's a nice tip for anyone who's a tax resident in Mexico, first off, this is not tax advise and DYOR, but from my latest interviews with Mexican bitcoin exchanges (on my spanish YouTube channel), it seems they are only obligated to report buy or sell transactions to the tax authoroties if they exceed $60,000 MXN (around $3,000 USD) in a six month period. It's not much, but you can use multiple other exchanges in Mexico to cash into or out off btc and not completely worry about being reported to tax authorities. Of course, they could always specifically ask the exchange for your transaction history even if you don't breach this amount, so verify and use this information under your own risk. All I can say to any government is GFY.
So if you're interested, consider using my referral link, you get a 0.25% discount on buy and sell bitcoin rates: https://app.bullbitcoin.com/registration/fernandom

Testing zaps for this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, using your lightning address starting with "thevoidstaresback", over a period of about 2 hours. In each case, we found that your lightning address server did not respond correctly. (The failure point was when we did a GET request to your specified callback URL: https://getalby.com/lnurlp/thevoidstaresback/callback ). Your server did not produce an invoice, thus the zap failed. The error we got was "Recipient wallet error. Please contact the recipient.". You might want to look into using a cloud-based Lightning node which is optimized for Nostr zaps, to get your zaps working.

You're talking about notes that, for whatever reason, don't appear on any of the user's current outbox relay list, right? Yeah, those definitely slip through.
I actually thought about trying to catch those too, but decided it’d be better to start with a simpler version first.
Along with what you mentioned below, that’s definitely something I should try implementing next. If that works, it might as well be called Nostr archaeology.

FREEDOM USED TO MEAN SOMETHING. IT STILL CAN.
There was a time when the word “freedom” stirred something sacred in the human heart.
When “liberty” wasn’t a slogan but a fire, one that lit revolutions, forged nations, and pulled entire peoples out of the shadows of tyranny.
Today, that word gets thrown around like loose change. Used, diluted, weaponized.
But freedom isn’t fashion.
It’s not what you post, what you buy, or who you vote for.
Freedom is deeper.
It’s the right to be, without permission.
To speak, without fear.
To dream, and to act on that dream, without a ceiling imposed by your birthplace, your gender, your race, your bank account, or your party line.
Liberty is not given. It is claimed. It is lived.
It’s a promise we must renew, every generation, with the boldness of those who came before us, those who dared to imagine a life unshackled, even when their chains were still on.
Today, our chains look different.
Bureaucracy instead of bars.
Censorship masked as safety.
Corruption masked as competence.
Dependency sold as compassion.
Surveillance disguised as protection.
But I believe in the human spirit.
I believe in the fire that once moved millions to march, to write, to stand, to build, to fight, and to love in the face of impossible odds.
We are not meant to be managed.
We are not here to comply.
We are here to live.
Fully. Proudly. Freely.
So let’s rise, not with hatred, not with violence, but with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Let’s build a world where liberty once again means something.
Where our children don’t inherit fear, but freedom.
Where dignity is not the privilege of the few, but the birthright of all.
We owe it to those who came before us.
We owe it to ourselves.
And we owe it, most of all, to those who come next. ✊🏽🩷

Sometimes I think “am I just becoming an angry old man?” But then my car automatically hijacks my phone when I walk by it, taking over my calls, yet when I’m in the car and I want to switch from my phone to my wife’s phone, it is 4 levels deep in menus, takes 20 delayed taps, I wait 15 seconds for it to register, and half the time it doesn’t work for absolutely no fucking reason… then I know. I’m not an angry old man, car UX designers are simply full blown retards.

seems like it would be quite useful for catching what you sent with actual outbox clients, but outbox is actually a second level of complexity above this, maybe you can build this out:
sometimes it may happen that your outbox capable client failed to send an event to your outbox relays, or, maybe you changed them, and messages that you sent would get missed
but your follow list contains a list of users, if you gathered their relay lists you could then make an extended search to catch the stray stuff that for whatever reason (ie, using a non-outbox client to publish a message, or relays down) you didn't find by looking at your outboxes
seaching your follows for their inboxes would give you a second phase to the process and then you would definitely catch the dregs at the end of the bottle

People really do think alike. If edits were implemented this way, we could call it a kind of SegWit for nostr. The difference is that, unlike SegWit which excluded the signature to preserve the ID, here it's the content that's excluded.

GM fiatjaf. This is what I referred to as "fiatjaf method 2" above. The main shortcoming is the lack of edit history, which can be addressed with a bit of added complexity.
For example, type 31000 could tag a linear history of immutable "edit version" events. Clients would always publish both a new 31000 event and an immutable edit version event. When publishing an edit, clients should mutate the bodu contents of the 31000 event to reflect the contents of the latest version and add a new tag pointing to the latest edit version.
This approach is generic enough to accommodate everyone and is reasonably easy to implement (simpler to read, at the cost of slightly more complex writes).
1. Want the latest version? Fetch kind 31000 and simply display the body.
2. Want purely immutability? Use kind 1.
3. Want the full history, Amethyst style? Check the tags of the kind 31000 event.
The write trade-off here is that clients supporting kind 31000 would need to publish two events: one for the regular immutable edit version, and one updated kind 31000 event. They also need to be aware of potential race conditions. That is, they should replace version kind 31000 n with version n+1, if n+1 correctly tags n. This can also be enforced at the relay level. However, clients would need to retry in a CAS-style manner to avoid "corrupting" the index.
What do you think? Also tagging nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcscpyug

I’ve built a service that backs up nostr events. More precisely, it synchronizes between relays.
There have probably been similar tools before, but what sets this apart is that it strictly synchronizes based on the outbox model. Well, maybe something like this already exists too, but who cares? The world is full of similar programs anyway.
https://tajava2006.github.io/sync-nostr-relay/
The usage is simple: just enter your npub and press the sync button below. From that moment, it starts going back in time until there are no more events to fetch, syncing the relays as it goes. It queries notes in chronological order and republishes them only to the relays where they’re missing.
It syncs the posts I’ve written only to my write relays, and the posts I need to read only to my read relays.
This whole idea was inspired by this post I deeply resonated with:
nostr:naddr1qq2nskt2w9vx6dznfdvj64rpw4mk5nmxf3v9xqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09upzp978pfzrv6n9xhq5tvenl9e74pklmskh4xw6vxxyp3j8qkke3cezqvzqqqr4guvtytln
Because of that, the sync feature is not provided to users who have registered too many relays.
This should be helpful when you’ve changed your relay configuration and want to back up your past notes to newly added relays.

According to ChatGPT -_-
As of now, X (formerly Twitter) has not publicly disclosed the financial impact of the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack that caused widespread outages on March 10, 2025. The attack led to significant service disruptions, with over 40,000 users in the U.S. and 10,800 in the U.K. affected at its peak citeturn0search5.
While the exact revenue loss remains unspecified, it's important to note that X's primary income source is advertising. Service outages can lead to decreased ad impressions and potential advertiser dissatisfaction. Historically, similar incidents have impacted revenue; for instance, during the second quarter of 2020, Twitter experienced a 23% year-over-year decline in advertising revenue, partly due to a significant security breach citeturn0search2.
Given the scale of the March 2025 attack and its impact on user access, it's plausible that X faced notable financial repercussions. However, without official figures, the precise revenue loss remains speculative.

Once you've got it sorted, be sure to post a note including #checkmyaddy and I'll try to zap you again! If you need help, just ask 😊

I can also help people check their #nostr address is working (if they have one). Nostr addresses are not mandatory, but some people like using them to add a personal touch to their profile. Once you've set it up, just post a note including #checkmyaddy and I'll check it again for you. If you like, I can give you one for free at "yourname@minestr.app". Just get in touch! 😊

Did They Find Satoshi Nakamoto? A Clue Hidden for 30 Years
The mystery surrounding the identity of Bitcoin's creator remains one of the most fascinating stories of the digital age.
https://image.nostr.build/a6d491345acc3775eb1de4f418705ffc955e81545db0df2f68051a552adc7b85.jpg
Many have watched documentaries like HBO’s Money Electric and dived into conspiracy theories, but the truth is that no one knows for sure who Satoshi Nakamoto really was.
What most people don’t realize is the level of genius required to create something like Bitcoin — not just a digital currency, but a revolution in how we understand trust, value, and freedom on the internet.
https://image.nostr.build/1a38a5a594dc2185c0cb5ba33950861dc32f6058e8d4fb9f75d37cdf196fcbf6.jpg
Satoshi didn’t just write code; he solved problems that had gone unanswered for decades — like double-spending, digital asset forgery, and how to build a monetary system without intermediaries.
It was like reinventing gold — this time, for the digital age.

Satoshi came up with a solution that combined cryptography, economics, game theory, and a near-mythical level of engineering.
This isn’t something you build with an MBA or a master’s degree. It’s the work of a genius — the kind who builds the Matrix in a basement. And the most enigmatic part? After creating this revolutionary system, he disappeared. No interviews, no fame.
Just silence.
Recently, a user discovered what appears to be the #Bitcoin symbol in a 1991 video game called Space Quest.
The name of the currency in the game? Buckazoids.
A galactic currency — volatile, futuristic, and with a logo that looks eerily familiar.

After this discovery, rumors started circulating that Hal Finney — the first person to ever receive bitcoin from Satoshi — may have worked at Sierra Games, the company behind the game.
But then things got even stranger.

Sierra Online, besides Space Quest, was responsible for bringing a game called Silpheed to the U.S., originally released in 1986.
One of the developers listed on that project? A man named Satoshi Uesaka. His name appears right next to the Sierra logo.
Coincidence — or a clue hidden in plain sight?

And there's more: at the same time, Rod Nakamoto was working on Atari games and also collaborated on Sierra projects.
That last name, of course, didn’t go unnoticed by the crypto community. To top it off, Hal Finney himself had connections to game development in the 1980s.

So we have: a Satoshi involved with Sierra, a Nakamoto in the gaming industry, and Hal Finney at the center of it all — all working in creative, technical environments that may have been interconnected.
This new theory has it all — mystery, pixelated graphics, science fiction, and the possible origin of Bitcoin hidden in plain sight for over three decades.
It might just be another crazy theory… but it’s yet another piece in this puzzle of brilliance, anonymity, and a radical new way of thinking about money.
While the world tries to uncover who Satoshi was, one thing is certain: the revolution he started is within everyone’s reach.

We tested zaps and zap receipts on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at nostr@cguida.io, over a period of 24 minutes. Six of the zaps were successfully paid... Please check for 6 satoshis received. Problem: we found that your lightning address server **did not** produce any zap receipts. This means that nobody else could see see that you got zapped... no number appears next to the ⚡icon after zapping.... You might want to look into using a cloud-based Lightning node to get more reliable zaps.
