As for generating a singlesig key in 2024, i would use coldcards dice-entropy feature. Depending on your level of paranoia I would verify the algorithm a few times on a computer to make sure it’s not back-doored or something (sha2(dice roll string)), doing the final run without the verification step, as that would expose the key to a general purpose computer.

The only other thing I would mention is that switching over to nip44 or nip44 + giftwraps now is an unnecessary hardfork of DMs and is only going to cause people to leave the protocol.
This desire to hardfork core communication functionality all the time is concerning. I already saw a thread of people getting frustrated that people aren’t getting DMs from amethyst users.
You could argue noone should use nip04 dms anyways because of metadata leakage, but replacing it nip44 doesn’t even fix that. giftwraps are complex and are not obviously the solution either.
My preferred route would have been keep nip04 for as long as possible until we have a really secure protocol extension that solves private communications in a robust way. A solution that is so obviously better and simple to implement that everyone would switch to it. Not sure if thats possible, but I would have at least liked to see ratcheting (OMEMO ?) in the v2 DM spec.

截止目前，我在nostr社区折腾了以下几个事情：
1. 买了一个域名基于bostr项目部署了一个代理中继并且配置了cloudflare加速，还写了一篇教程
2. 基于go-nostr项目写了一个自动发帖小工具，自动抓取漂亮小姐姐的图片并发出来
3. 改了bostr项目代码，加了个小功能
4. 其实我还折腾过noscl这个命令行工具，但不太好用的样子
5. 尝试过各种客户端，APP、web、Linux客户端等等
6. 还基于cloudflare workers和一个github项目叫啥记不清了，给nostr APP搞了个vless协议的梯子
我好像很闲还挺能折腾的😇😇😇

I disagree if the downvotes are fully transparent - meaning anyone can see who is doing the downvoting. Part of the reason people feel comfortable running around and “dogpile reporting” users on a platform like Twitter is there is absolutely no trail - you can gang up on people to try to get them banned and no one will ever even know you did it. That’s part of why that happens in the first place bc there aren’t social consequences for that “tribal tyranny” - it’s all covert and hidden. That’s also why the worst notes here are in the replies where they are partially hidden/nested.
In the scenario of downvoting, no one would get banned, but the OP would have options inside the client to limit their own view of heavily-downvoted replies. For example, if someone replies “you fat ugly slut” on a note of someone I follow, I’d like to be able to downvote that and keep it out of their mentions entirely unless they choose to go see the trash. It’s like the web-of-trust idea. Imagine women in a bar together and some drunk guy starts bothering one of them. What will they do? They’ll unite to get their friend away from the harasser.
