The highlight of the day was the very important PSA put together by the Alt Media HQ brass staff advertising the very first Anti-Zionist Conference in Vienna, Austria on the 13th to 15th of this month, and this was promptly uploaded for the afternoon edition. Of course, this piece coincided with a very successful PSA presentation at the community centre in the center of town last Saturday arranged by five members from our own team – acting Editor-in-Chief Evey the Cypher Punk Goddess, Miss Ann Thropy, Little Yozhik the Hedgehog and the redoubtable Scottie duo of Rhona and Wilf. The townsfolk turned out in numbers and availed themselves of the opportunity to learn more about this special upcoming conference in Vienna. In any event, the day ended in spectacular fashion, as the whole team completed their assigned stories in record time. It was just another one of those amazing days here at Alt Media HQ studios.
The following exclusive report with brief commentary is the work of our good friend and colleague, veteran Iranian investigative journalist and analyst Abbas Mossadegh, who lives and works in Tehran, Iran. Incidentally, he is aided by his wife, researcher Maryam Mossadegh, in the production of this piece. In this exclusive report, Mr. Mossadegh will examine the recent explosive story of the acquisition of sensitive Israeli documents “pertaining to the Israeli facilities, including nuclear sites” by Iranian intelligence. It is clear that this event has been widely seen as a source of massive embarrassment to the beleaguered Netanyahu government in the Zionist State, further raising the geopolitical temperature in the West Asian region. What is more, the fact that Israeli settlers may have been involved in this intelligence capture can be seen as a further embarrassment to the Zionist regime. This report with brief commentary will be edited and uploaded on the Alt Media HQ website for the Tuesday evening edition. “It is clear now that the intelligence services of Iran have successfully obtained a vast trove of highly classified strategic documents and information tied to "Israel", well-informed sources told Al Mayadeen on Saturday. The sources told Al Mayadeen that the data included "thousands of documents related to the Israeli occupation's projects and its nuclear facilities." According to the sources familiar in the matter, ‘the operation actually took place some time ago, on account of the enormous volume of documents and the need to expeditiously transport the entire haul into Iran "required keeping the matter under secrecy." "It has been confirmed that the entire cache of documents ‘reached the designated secure location,’ adding that sheer volume of material is so immense that simply reviewing the documents alone, along with all their accompanying photo, videos and other material “would take an exceptionally long time." Of course, this startling development comes right in the middle of tensions between Iran and "Israel", “as the occupation continues to push for military action against Iran's nuclear capabilities, a move Tehran has warned against.”
Intelligence officer Esmail Khatib said that the very “comprehensive and complex” operation was carried out inside the occupied territories in transferring “strategic, operational, and scientific information” to the Islamic Republic. For purposes of security, Khatib resolutely stated the transmission methods remain protected and under secrecy, and will not be released at all anytime soon. However, he did add that ‘some of these valuable documents would soon be made public.’ The documents were acquired “with the assistance of informants on the ground and transported to Iran under the strictest secrecy.” Khatib assured reporters that the files in question ‘will be partially released to the public in the coming days.’ To be frank, this intelligence coup was astounding by any stretch of the imagination, and its acquisition must be considered “one of the most significant blows to the occupying Israeli regime.”
In one shocking development, informed sources close to the matter further revealed to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) that “the arrest of Israeli settlers accused of providing services to Iran” occurred only well after the documents in question “had already been safely transported out of the occupied Palestinian territories.” Apparently, this incredible intelligence operation involved “recruiting several Israeli settlers,” resulting in the acquisition of thousands of documents, images, and videos concerning Israeli nuclear projects and facilities, including the very important “Negev Nuclear Research Center (Dimona) and other critical sites.” Incidentally, this revelation comes less than three weeks after Israeli regime authorities announced the arrest of two men on the suspicion of committing so-called “security crimes” on behalf of Iran. According to a joint statement issued on the 20th of May by Israeli police and the Shin Bet agency, two 25-year-old men from Nesher, Roy Mizrahi and Almog Atias, were arrested in late April on suspicion of “conducting intelligence-gathering missions for Iran.” To this day, it remains a mystery what exactly the specific actions these two men took, or whether ‘they were directly involved in the recent document transfer operation.’ Quite naturally, the Israeli regime “is withholding any details of the case, including its objectives and methods, citing security reasons.”
At this critical juncture, it is an intriguing development regarding the involvement of Israeli settlers in espionage activities for Iran. Research into this phenomenon was provided by a February, 2025 article by Yossi Melman in British publication, The Economist, entitled “Why are so many Israeli Jews spying for Iran?” Evidently, the article in question highlights “an unprecedented rise in Israeli settlers spying for Tehran.” Melman cites the internal security service Shin Bet with the particulars. Melman’s article states that ‘39 Israelis were duly arrested in 2024 on suspicion of spying for the Islamic Republic, apparently ‘just the tip of the iceberg compared to the hundreds reportedly recruited since late 2022.’ One may ask: how individuals like Mizrahi and Atias were actually recruited to carry out their part of the operation? These individuals were reportedly recruited through social media platforms or during travel time. The recruited individuals naturally come from diverse backgrounds: “Jewish and Arab, religious and secular, young and old, male and female.” The Israeli regime has long prided itself on its powerful counter-espionage capabilities and cohesion, “which historically limited Arab states’ success in recruiting Israeli settlers during wartime.” One can certainly say now that the situation indeed appears to be shifting now.
How can one interpret this rapid rise in Israelis spying for the Islamic Republic at this moment in time? It seems that a number of commentators basically interpret this surge in anti-regime operations ‘as a symptom of a highly “accelerated implosion within Israeli settler society, a fragmentation of settler-colonial identity and a growing distrust in the occupying regime amid the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.” It is not an exaggeration to say that, on so many levels, Israeli society is more fraying at the seams. The ongoing problems with the Ultra-Orthodox Haredim, the widening chasm between liberal Israeli Jews and the far-right religious fanatics, led by crazed leaders, such Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, the material and psychological losses for the Zionists on the battlefield, and the crushing of the Zionist economy has created an unprecedented dilemma for the Occupation Regime, which is guaranteed to only grow in the coming weeks and months.
