【共同社6月17日電】（記者：許欣斐）《陽明的故事・龍場悟道》特展17日在東京的日中友好會館舉行了開幕式。此次展覽精選中國思想家王陽明“龍場悟道”有關的詩文與警句，邀請戴明賢、王冬齡等書法名家揮毫創作約30幅作品帶到日本展示，旨在促進兩國人文互動與思想共鳴。

日中友好會館會長、日本前駐華大使宮本雄二在開幕式上用中文致辭，談及日本研究陽明學最有名的吉田松陰是明治維新的精神領袖。宮本表示，“陽明學這個兩國共同的文化，進一步拉近了兩國和兩國人民的關係。”

Hypezig. A name that brings back memories from the 90s. After that, there was more than a decade of stagnation, migration, and decline. Today, I was back in Leipzig, and I must say, you can feel a resurgence. Some say it’s a bit too left-leaning. However, you don’t have to hang out in Connewitz. It felt like a bustling metropolis in the city during the week. There was a wild hustle and bustle, crowded streets, construction sites everywhere, thousands of tourists, and full tour buses for city sightseeing. For many families, it’s the best big city in Germany, thanks to its large area, which offers much more space compared to Frankfurt or Munich. In the south, there’s a new lake landscape that serves as a unique, vast natural swimming area with sandy beaches and plenty of space; there are half a dozen large beaches at 4-5 different lakes to choose from. Some are even reachable by bike, bus, and tram directly from the city in just 20 minutes. The economy feels better than elsewhere: European Energy Exchange HQ, BMW, Amazon, and after Frankfurt, it has the largest cargo airport in the country with the DHL European hub. There’s a rich cultural scene with connections to Napoleon, Wagner, and Bach. For history enthusiasts, this is a German city steeped in significant historical events. It boasts one of the oldest universities in the world and was once a global trading center for fur alongside London. Before the war, it was Germany's center for printing, mechanical engineering, and the textile industry. The first daily newspaper in the world originated from Leipzig. The train station is a cathedral, the largest in Europe, even more beautiful than Grand Central in New York. All other major German train stations pale in comparison. The city was once a different caliber; 40 years of dreadful socialism have left scars, but slowly the city is bouncing back, and I didn’t sense any of the typical German gloom today. Leipzig is now again larger than Stuttgart, and with its vast area, it may regain its pre-war size in 10 years. (It’s as large as Munich by area but has only a third of the population.) If I had to bet on a German big city, it would definitely be Leipzig. Conclusion: Property investment in the green southeast will definitely hold up after the doubts of the last two years.

House prices are wrong. Literally, the sticker price is the wrong price, and its because of debt.
The availability of debt is effectively an increase in the money supply. That alone isn't the problem, but the fact that its unevenly distributed is (I'm not arguing for anything social justice-y). The Cantillon Effect is at play everywhere. Whoever can access debt, can buy the houses and duplexes and all the other stuff. Nothing wrong with that, in itself. Work, save, become credit worthy. But if more money is only available to people with more money, and scarce for everyone else, then assets get bid up. The value premium on stocks rises - PE ratios only go up, in the long run. Houses will always at least keep pace with inflation, but it looks like they will also always have a rising premium. Premium on what? Is it the asset or the money being used?
Then look at the quality of the houses being built. They're paper. You can see it falling apart in the first year of owning a new home. That's because the price of *everything* is wrong. Inflation pulls the floor out from under the producers, who want to be competing via quality rising, but instead must compete via material substitution to keep their costs low, which is because the price of their inputs keeps rising. Manufacturer's inflation is the real inflation, btw - just track that to know what's actually going on.
I think I need to backtrack a tad and say the world I imagine is without interest, not debt. My bad, I did conflate them. You can have zero interest debt. For how to organize it and match time preferences, I point to Islamic finance, which would be exactly the same as Christian finance, if Christians hadn't let Calvin preach a bunch of bullshit, which was all a camouflage for inserting interest rates into our society. That's a guy that's burning right now. Back to Islamic finance! They use equity to replace interest. Not a perfect solution, but I think bitcoin is the upgrade they need to really make it work. I recommend just googling it - I'm not saying its perfect, and my caveats would make explaining it onerous, even if I could do it justice. The end result is the most telling - prices of things *denominated in hours worked* are lower in the middle east. That's the goal.... That's what econ is supposed to be about - maximizing free time, not productivity.

I’ve learned that sometimes you need to immerse yourself in details before you can arrive at a simplifying clarity. As I am building #nostr #safebox, though I am immersed in the technical details of Cashu, Lightning and Bitcoin, users won’t really care - all they want to have their funds available to spend as they wish.
Similarly, for health records, verifiable credentials, etc., - it’s about having your records available to present when required. Some of these records might be private and unofficial, while others might be public, official and attested (signed). Regardless of the nature of the record, you want to present the right record at the right time.
This brings me to the use cases - there are only two at the root: One is to PAY for something, and the other is to PASS by something, where you are required to present something or provide a proof.
So there you have it: it boils down to: FUNDS, RECORDS, PAY and PASS.
