Não existe meio mais óbvio e eficaz de matar um protocolo de comunicação do que a propagação de pornografia e violência explícita sem qualquer possiblidade de filtro pelo destinatário do conteúdo, isto é, tornar o meio impróprio de ser visualizado em praticamente qualquer ambiente.
A questão não é censurar/banir/apagar alguém, mas criar mecanismos para que o próprio indivíduo melhor escolha o que vai aparecer no seu feed. E quem quiser, por valor de liberdade de expressão, consumir todo dia uns 20 cortes de pornô gay entre um e outro post razoável, que assim escolha.
Existe algum relay ou cliente em que eu possa, por ex, exibir automaticamente os conteúdos de mídia somente das pessoas que eu sigo ou de uma WOT, embaçando ou ocultando por padrão o das pessoas que não sigo ou não estão na WOT. Acho que um filtro desse já diminuiria uma parte considerável do problema, sem usar reports como censura.
